Racial Harmony Day 2026
Our Racial Harmony Day celebration provided meaningful opportunities for children to deepen their appreciation of Singapore's multicultural society. During the mass assembly, they learnt about Singapore's racial riots and how a lack of understanding among different races once led to conflict, while discovering how mutual respect, appreciation and everyday acts of kindness have helped build the harmonious nation we enjoy today. Back in the classrooms, children worked together with peers of different races to participate in a collaborative game symbolising unity, sampled snacks from various cultures, and completed a craft featuring traditional cultural attire. Through these authentic experiences, children gained a deeper understanding that our diversity is our strength, and that everyone has a part to play in fostering a caring, inclusive and harmonious community.
